Terms and Conditions for the SAP Quality Awards (the “Awards”)

1. By entering for the Awards, you (and the company you represent) agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Any other conditions purported to be included by anyone other than SAP shall be void unless incorporated clearly in written instructions and specifically accepted and acknowledged in writing by SAP.
3. The organiser is SAP (UK) Limited whose registered address is Clockhouse Place, Bedfont Road, Feltham, Middlesex, TW14 8HD (“SAP”).  
4. Each entrant must complete the SAP Quality Awards Nomination Form and supply the additional documentation detailed on www.sap.com/qualityawards.  
5. Entries must be in English (attachments/supporting documentation can be in local language) and must be received by SAP before 17:00 on Friday April 18, 2008.
6. The Awards are open to any corporate body that has purchased SAP software. Persons submitting the entry must be authorised to enter the company into the competition.
7. All entries must be submitted online at www.sap.com/qualityawards. SAP accepts no responsibility for any failure of hardware, software or of the internet in connection with the submission of online entries.
8. Only completed SAP Quality Awards Nomination Forms received by SAP will be considered. 
9. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide the relevant information for their entry, which will become the property of SAP and will not be returned.
10. SAP reserves the right to audit any or all information supplied by an entrant and each entrant agrees to assist SAP in any such audit in every way possible.
11. No responsibility can be accepted for incomplete, damaged or corrupt entries. Proof of submission is not proof of delivery.
12. After the closing date, a short list of entrants will be drawn up by a panel. Short-listed entrants will be notified by post and/or email. Each short-listed entrant will be asked to attend a session with the panel to respond to questions on the information submitted by them. Short-listed entrants shall use their best endeavours to attend such sessions.
13. The winning entrant shall be announced at an awards ceremony, for which the short-listed entrants will receive at least three (3) weeks notice. All short-listed entrants shall use their best endeavours to be present on the date of the awards ceremony.
14. For any entrant knowingly providing false information on their application SAP reserve the right to withdraw any Award to that organisation, to publicise the withdrawal and present the Award to another entrant.
15. SAP is entitled to retain a list giving details of all of the entrants (including those of any personnel of an entrant which is detailed in an entry).
16. The short-listed entrants must be prepared to take part in publicity. Entrants are responsible for making appropriate arrangements to protect any intellectual property associated with their application.
17. SAP shall be entitled in respect of all short-listed entrants to copy and publish details of those entries (and those of any personnel of an entrant which is detailed in an entry), including any material submitted with those entries, in any way they think fit and via any medium. In particular, they are entitled to use details of any short-listed entrants (and those of any personnel of an entrant which is detailed in an entry) in connection with ongoing publicity and promotion for the Awards competition and for any subsequent competition. Each entrant shall ensure that it has all necessary consents and authorisations to enter for the Awards and to agree to these terms. No payment shall be made to reward short-listed entrants for the use of their entries or their details as described in this paragraph.
18. The winner agrees to take part in a specially commissioned case study.
19. Entrants agree not to distribute any press releases which refer to the Award and which in the sole opinion of SAP misrepresent the Award or the entrant’s part in the Award or bring the Award into disrepute.
20. The panel’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Guidance on judging criteria is available on the SAP Quality Awards website www.sap.com/qualityawards
21. Entry does not grant an organisation rights to use SAP or Award name, logo or images without the express written approval of SAP. The winner may be granted permission to use an Awards logo for a limited period to promote their achievement.
22. Any physical artefact presented at the award ceremony to the winner by way of prize shall thereafter be the unfettered property of the winner. SAP accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury resulting from acceptance or use of the prize.
23. Withdrawal of any entry must be made in writing.
24. SAP reserves the right to alter or cancel the competition if necessary.
25. In the event that any provision hereof is found invalid or unenforceable pursuant to judicial decree or decision, the remaining provisions will remain enforceable in accordance with its terms.
26. These terms and conditions shall be governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

27. Complaints must be made in writing not more than 30 days from the date of the event giving rise to the complaint, and addressed to Kyla Fox, SAP Quality Team, SAP (UK) Limited, Clockhouse Place, Bedfont Road, Feltham, Middlesex TW14 8HD.
